HSC Board of Directors, HWNT Board
Members
and Scholarship Recipients
Each spring the Austin chapter organizes "Dia de las Madres"
that has become know as one of our signature events where we can celebrate all
mothers.
This year Luisa Gavino-Martinez served as chair and Alicia Maldonado served as
co-chair. A huge abrazo goes out to Luisa and Alicia for all their hard work and
dedication they gave to this event. Due to all their efforts and your support,
this event raised over $6000.00.
On June 21st, our scholarship partner, Hispanic Scholarship Consortium and
HWNT-Austin were able to award $12,000.00 in scholarships to six Central Texas
Latina college students.
